Francoise Ateto - Religious Exploration Director

Fran and her husband, Fred, first came to UUCA in 1980, when they enrolled their two children in the Religious Education program. Fran soon was involved with RE as a volunteer. In 1989 she became the DRE, and brought to the position her previous teaching experience, her love of children, and her commitment to Unitarian Universalism. She held a degree in French language and literature, and furthered her education by attending UU Leadership School and completing the Renaissance Program. In the past few years she has served in various roles at the regional, district and continental levels (GWAREC, the District RE Committee, LREDA and the UUA Growth Team). With the help of her assistant Lori Frederick, in her work at UUCA Fran is committed to supporting parents as they raise their children in our complex world.
