DE-MD Synod: Who We Are - Synod Council

Delaware-Maryland Synod Council

The Synod Council is a group of volunteers elected to oversee the synod's work between once-a-year sessions of the Synod Assembly. Some are elected to represent specific geographic areas within the synod; others represent certain constituencies; others are elected at large. The group meets one Saturday a month during January, March, May, July, September, and November. Each council member is assigned to represent the council on another of the synod's work groups as well. The assistants to the bishop, the bishop's executive assistant, and the synod coordinator for communication meet regularly with the council and serve as consultants in the council's work.
