Music Ministries at St. James'
There are four choirs active in St. James' Parish. All are staffed by volunteer singers led by professional musicians. The Senior Choir and Celebration Choir meet for rehearsal on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings September through May, and sing each Sunday. The Men's Choir meets in conjunction with the Senior Choir and sings once a month. The Youth Choir, under the leadership of the Rev. Amanda Knouse and Brenda Boucher, meets on Sunday mornings during the 11 o'clock Service and sings about once a month.
The Celebration Choir, under the leadership of the Rev. Amanda Knouse and Robert Waddell, provides music for the Contemporary Service at 9 o'clock and the Senior Choir offers an anthem at the 11 o'clock Traditional Service. The Celebration Choir also performs special music at Christmas and Easter. During the summer, the Summer Choir meets one hour before the 10 o'clock Service and consists of anyone who shows up for that Sunday's choir.
