Welcome
St. James' Parish is as diverse as our 300+ years of history. We draw from the Annapolis area and as far south as Calvert County. We have over 325 families and individuals. At the same time we are striving to, in some ways, remain a parish where everyone feels connected and a part of a vibrant Christian Community. Our parish emphasizes "Remembering the Past, Living our faith, and Worshipping into the Future". In the midst of the Eucharist each Sunday, we clearly proclaim "This is not our table, it is the Lord's, and everyone is Welcome". The Eucharist is extended to young and older, for we are all God's children. We are Sisters and Brothers in Christ and as such it is essential that we relate to each other as a family.

Lenten Reflections (all...)
Just like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.
Jeremiah 18:6
Just as the potter can make something new out of marred clay, so does God have the power to recreate us. I think this passage talks to us about submitting to God and trusting in God's plan. It gives us the confidence that when we follow God that he will shape us and lead us in the way that we should go. It also gives me a sense of hope. No matter what out attitude is about ourselves, we can be encouraged that God can still use us. We may be marred but God can turn us into a new creation.

The Women of St. James’ Parish are once again selling the popular Dutch Mill Bulbs as a fundraiser. These summer and fall blooming bulbs sell for $6.00 per package (even, no tax or shipping fees). Because the Parish will receive $3.00 from each sale, you can claim that amount for each package as a tax deduction. How nice it will be to "see" your tax donation actually blooming in beauty this summer!
Catalogues for the bulbs are now available and the deadline for placing orders, with full payment, is March 28th. Please give your order to either Wendy Crawford or Peggy Horn. You may also place it in the offering plate during one of the Sunday services.

In an effort to determine interest for a mission trip to Beard’s Fork, West Virginia again this coming summer, please contact Susan Whitehead at swhitehead84@comcast.net if you think you might wish to participate. The trip is tentatively planned for one of the last two weeks in July. The only skill required is a desire to help. Teenagers are welcome, if accompanied by a parent. The director of the Southern Appalachian Labor School (SALS) has indicated St. James’ Parish has been the most welcome and dedicated group of volunteers they have had. Please help maintain that tradition by joining the mission trip to Appalachia. The experience not only benefits those who are less fortunate, but also benefits the volunteers who have an opportunity to share faith and fellowship with fellow parishioners.
