The Rev. Bill Ticknor, Rector

The Rev. William H.C. "Bill" Ticknor came to St. James' Parish as its 32nd rector in 1973. A graduate of Towson University and Philadelphia Divinity School, Bill served Epiphany Church, Timonium as its Assistant Rector before coming to St. James.'

The Ven. Kerry J. Smith, Archdeacon

Kerry Smith was ordained deacon on June 3, 2000, and installed as Archdeacon for Deployment and Pastoral Care for the Diocese of Maryland on December 3, 2006. He was a member of St. James' Parish from 1989 until he was ordained in 2000. Kerry has served as deacon at Christ Church, West River and All Saints Parish, Sunderland before leaving to serve as one of two Chaplains to Bishop Sutton. He has a BS from the US Naval Academy, an MBA from George Mason University, and has completed the Education for Ministry curriculum. In his secular work he has served in the Navy on submarines, as a Government Contractor, president of a systems integration company, president of a mental health agency in the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, a store owner in Annapolis and is presently serving as a Certified Energy Manager with a worldwide energy management company. Kerry will continue serving as Archdeacon and chaplain to Bishop Sutton while serving as deacon at St. James' Parish.

Office Hours

The Parish Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.; Clergy are often in the office after 2:30, but their time varies. Dates on which the office is closed are marked on the Parish calendar.
