The name St. Dysmas comes from the traditional reference to the repentant thief crucified with Jesus. St. Dysmas rebuked the thief who taunted Jesus then said,
"Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom." And Jesus replied, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." |
