The Community of St. Dysmas is a Lutheran congregation within the Maryland correctional system, operating independently of the state government. The congregation is a member of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, (ELCA) and Prison Congregations of America
This Website may look different from others. For example, we are not featuring pictures of a beautiful sanctuary. The rather sparce appearance of this Website is intentional, reflecting the bare nature of life for the incarcerated.
What we are about --
Through the Spirit, we are about helping each other (inmates and volunteers) change, grow, and become more of who God wants us to become.
