We have these suggestions of how you can be a part of the ministry of CSD:
- PRAYER -- This is a ministry of "broken people" ministering to each other. Truth is we're all broken in a way ... just that some wounds are more obvious than others. Because of this, we cannot continue without your prayers!
- BE A VISITOR -- Consider being a visitor. This is a "where-the-rubber-meets-the-road" experience. It's probably not what you think; you'll feel safer than you might suspect, you'll feel more welcomed than you might expect, and you'll probably be surprised at how much you'll get out of this experience. Check our schedule to find out when services are held and instructions on how to arrange to visit a worship service. If you feel prompted to try this, please let us know. We'll need a few weeks to do the needed preparations.
- FINANCIAL SUPPORT -- We believe this ministry is Gospel-centered. Ministry can get done without money! Our ministry focuses on helping people recognize the light and spirit within them, whether inside or out. But, like any organization and ministry, we do need money to pay bills, buy materials, and support incarcerated and released people. If you wish to make a financial contribution, make your check payable to The Community of St. Dysmas and mail it to the congregation's office at:
The Community of St. Dysmas
5010 Briarclift Road
Baltimore, Maryland 21229-1351
- INVITE US TO YOUR CHURCH TO SHARE OUR WORK! -- We would love to come and share the stories and vision of the Community of St. Dysmas with your congregation/committees/teams! Pastor Lundgren is available for Sunday morning preaching, and others are willing to come and share their experiences as well. A representative can come speak with your youth group, social ministry team, or other group. Call the office at 410-233-7897 or send an
E-mail request. The congregation's FAX number is 410-233-3997.
Thank you.
