Editor's Note: The following is an adaptation of Fr. Richardson Libby's words when he presented this Prayer of Commitment on April 28th, 2002.
John tells us of the words Jesus said to Thomas, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Tough words. Then Jesus answers Philip "Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me".
Another challenge of Faith for us. In the letter of Peter we find the invitation to "Come to Him "(Jesus), a living stone, indeed a cornerstone laid in Zion "and whosoever believes in Him will not be put to shame."
We invite you to spend some time in prayer and confession and then print out the form below, and sign & date it. Now you can KNOW that you have committed yourself to The Lord Jesus the Christ.

My Prayer of Commitment I
take God the Father to be my Lord. And
I now commit myself – And I do this freely, fully, and forever. In
the Name of the Father, Amen. |
Lord Jesus Christ, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. [Take a few moments to ask His forgiveness for anything particular that is on your conscience.] Please forgive me. I now turn from everything which I know is wrong. Thank You that You died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free. Thank You that You offer me forgiveness and the gift of Your Spirit. I now receive that gift. Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus.
