Baltimore, MD is one of the best areas for progressive music in the United States. This is just an aside from my usual web page stuff to give some limited but sincere exposure to what I think are some fantastic bands and venues in the Baltimore area. One of the best places to see a show anywhere is the intimate setting at Orion Sound Studios. They have
hosted a tremendous amount of the best international, domestic and local prog bands
as part of their Progressive Music Series. Past shows include:

Bill Bruford,
David Torn and
Chris Botti),
The California Guitar Trio,
Trey Gunn Band,
Annie Haslam, and several others. I encourage anyone interested in
the progressive music scene to
