  | This page is here to honor my own hero, my father, Cpl. Robert H. Breth. And ALL of our country's veterans. Dad was a combat medic with the 101st Airborne Div. 326th Medical Co." He landed inland of Utah Beach behind enemy lines in a glider on "D Day", the Invasion of Normandy. Later, he was captured at the Battle of the Bulge at Bastogne. He was held by the Germans until liberated by the Russians, sometime after the death of Pres. Roosevelt. Among his many badges and medals : 2 Purple Hearts, The Bronze Star, A Good Conduct Medal, Combat Medic's Badge, Army of Occupation European Theatre, Paratrooper and Glider Wings. (In my research I've not found any other soldier that has earned both the Paratrooper and Glider Wings.) | 1922-1994 |
The Combat Medic Thanks go to Doc for this wonderful graphic
1928 - 1999 | The world has lost great lady, my Mom. Mary Martha Breth passed away September 15, 1999 Tho she may not have gone to foreign lands to battle great evil she was still a hero to me. She taught her four children and seven grandchildren to know the difference between right and wrong. She taught us to love Jesus Christ, speak the truth and to do the right thing. She is greatly missed. |
The handsome young soldier and the beautiful young lady together again.
