Donor support bridges the gap between what tuition provides and what our students need. We are grateful for the support of our many donors whose generosity helps us achieve our mission every day.
Decisions about charitable giving are personal and are generally part of a larger financial plan. Our goal is to make your decision to support The Harbour School a rewarding one.
Donors may choose to donate by cash, check or credit card. The school also accepts gifts of appreciated stock and other property. You can view the full gift acceptance policy by clicking here.
Gifts made in honor of special occasions or in memorial of a loved one are also gratefully accepted. When these gifts are received the school graciously acknowledges the donor and informs the honoree or his/her family that the gift has been received.

When considering a gift to The Harbour School
think about supporting one of these priority needs:
Annual Fund
Enables THS to remain responsive to the complex and dynamic needs of the students served by providing program enhancements like athletic equipment, performing arts programs and expanded science and reading program materials not covered by tuition. Use of these funds is not restricted, although gifts may be designated to either the Annapolis or Baltimore campus or the area of greatest need. This fund is supported by unsolicited gifts, annual mailings to donors and proceeds of the annual Auction.
Special Projects
From time to time, special projects with specific start and end dates are undertaken to meet immediate or strategic needs of Harbour School students. These projects are supported by gifts from individuals and/or by grants from corporations or foundations. For information on current special projects, email the Director
of Development.
Innovation through Renovation
Funds donated to Innovation through Renovation: The Campaign for Exceptional Education are restricted for the purposes of performing renovations to our Annapolis campus. This $1 million campaign will create a school environment that enables the school to more effectively reach its mission. Support comes from multi-year pledges by individual supporters, corporations and foundations. Businesses that support the campaign may be eligible for an additional Maryland state tax credit. For more information contact the Director of Development.
Mildred S. France Fund
It is not unusual for our children to need medical care, such as a visit with a specialist or routine medication. Sometimes the child’s family does not have sufficient insurance and cannot afford to pay for the treatment or medication that the student needs. This fund, established in memory of Vonnie Callaway’s grandmother, assures that our students get the medical care and medications needed to have a successful school experience.
Michael Grotto Fund
Established to honor a friend of a past parent, this fund provides assistance to students who need help paying for the “extras” of school life, such as field trips, yearbooks and school dances. This fund assures that no Harbour student misses out on an activity or special event due to lack of money.
Freda and Bernard White Scholarship Fund
Dr. Jacobs established this fund to honor her parents for their lifetime investment in The Harbour School and its students. This fund is available to Harbour School students in need of financial assistance to continue or further their education.
