TRANSITION PLAN

By Maryland law, all students receive transition services at the age of 14, in the form of an Individualized Transition Plan. This plan looks at where the students is, where the students and everyone working with the student (including parents) see the student the year after high school graduation, and what needs to be done each year to reach those goals. Resources are also anticipated for years down the road, since the support is not the same after exiting high school. When we speak of Transition, we are referring to preparing students for success in adulthood.
As part of the transition program and guided high school curriculum, students participate in work experiences in order to meet Job Skills Work Experience Competencies.
