Food Pantry: cereal, jelly, peanut butter, canned meat, canned fruit, soup, powdered milk, instant potatoes, tuna helper, syrup & pancake mix.

 

New Table Campaign:  Church Council has decided to replace our old worn tables with new lightweight vinyl tables.  The cost per table is $75.  The Council encourages our members to participate in the table replacement project with a donation to cover the purchase of a new table or give what you can.  All those who cover the cost of a new table may have their pick of one of the old tables to keep.  Thanks for helping in the New Table Campaign.

 

Fall Worship Schedule:  Starting September 12th our new schedule will be (1) Traditional Service at 8:30 am, Sunday School at 9:45 am & Contemporary Service at 11:00 am. See PastorÕs article in the September newsletter for details.

 

Mark Your Calendars for Rally Day/Grandparents Day on September 12th at 9:45 am.  Please invite your grandparents or special friends to attend Sunday School with your child.  Hope to see you there!

 

Blessing of the Back Packs:  Pastor invites all youth

to bring their back packs to church on September 12th, Rally Day for a blessing.

 

Church Picnic:  September 12th at Lake Waterford Park from 1-5 pm.  Parish Life will supply the meat and drinks and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Fun for the entire family, bingo, horseshoes, games for the children and a great playground.  Hope to see you there!

 

Next Lutheran CORE Forum will be Sunday, September 19th during the Sunday School hour, 9:45 am.  Mr. Ryan Schwarz from Lutheran CORE Steering Committee will speak with us about NALC (North American Lutheran Church) and COREÕs future role in the church.  Mark your calendars, prepare your questions, and plan to attend this important meeting.

 

Attendance:  If you notice someone has missed church for several weeks take a minute out of your busy schedule and give them a call, let them know that they are missed.  Remember ROAK (random acts of kindness).  That is what being a disciple of Christ is all about.  Caring for each other.

 

Youth Group Fall Kick Off:  Parent & Youth meeting on Sunday, September 26th immediately following late service.  Please plan to attend and help us map out what our youth will be doing this year.
