Annapolis Yacht Club junior club house: Directions: Route 50, take Rowe Blvd exit to Annapolis. Go straight on Rowe to the end and turn left at a "T" intersection. Proceed halfway around Church Circle, turning onto Duke of Glouchester St. and cross the Spa Creek Bridge. At the end of the bridge turn right (before the fire hydrant) into the AYC annex parking lot. Junior Program Director: Ted Kaczmarski Georgetown University, Washington DC: Cross from DC into Virgina across the 14th street bridge (Rt 395 south). Take 2nd right toward National Airport (onto the George Washington Memorial Pkwy). Take the first left after you pass National Airport into the Washington Sailing Marina. Alternately: From the Washington Beltway (Rt 495/95)exit at Alexandria, VA, and take the George Washington Memorial Pkwy (Rt 400) north past Alexandria until you can turn right into the marina. Coach: Mike Callahan Glenmar Sailing Association, Baltimore, Md: From I-695 (Baltimore Beltway), take Rt 702 east toward Essex (it becomes Back River Neck Rd). After 7 miles, turn left on Barrison Point Rd. Turn right on Rocky Point Rd. Sailing Center is 1/4 miles on left. Junior Program: Gene Nuth NY Maritime Academy, SUNY: Take Cross Bronx expressway to Throgs Neck Bridge. Take last exit before crossing the bridge. The academy is at the foot of the bridge. Coach Mitch Brindley Port Jefferson and Stony Brook, Setauket Yacht Club, NY: Cross George Washington Bridge to Cross Bronx parkway. Exit and cross over Throgs Neck Bridge to Clear view expressway. Exit to Long Island Expressway east (Rt 495). Take exit 62, Nichols Rd (county rd 97) north to Rt 347 east. Turn left onto Rt 112 north into Port Jefferson. Right at "T" at the Harbor. Take 1st left past Ferry Terminal at the Police station to the yacht club. Coaches: Betty Minson and George Linzee Severn Sailing Association: Follow directions, above, to AYC, cross Spa Creek Bridge, turn left at the traffic light onto Severn Ave., take last left onto 1st St., SSA is on the left at the end of the street. Jr. Program Director: Ian Burman Southern Maryland Sailing Association: SMSA is on Solomons Island in southern Calvert County, Maryland. Take Maryland Route 2 or 4 south from Annapolis, Washington, or Upper Marlboro. These routes join at Sunderland. Proceed through Prince Frederick. About 15 miles south, Route 2 splits off to the right just before the Patuxent River bridge. The sign is marked “Solomons”. Turn left when the exit road dead ends. After one block, turn right. The Calvert Marine Museum will be dead ahead just before you turn. Go about a half mile onto Solomons Island. SMSA’s building is on the left just after a large clock on the right. St Mary's College of Maryland: Cross Patuxent River Bridge at Solomons Island, go 4 miles and turn left onto Rt 235, in 4 miles turn right onto SangriLa Dr at Donut store. After 2 blocks, veer Left at Baptist Church. Turn left at a "T" after the tobacco barn onto Rt 5S, 2 miles to College. Coach: Adam Werblow. Tom's River Yacht Club: Exit 82 from NJ Garden State Parkway east on Route 37. Go through 5 traffic lights (it would be best to wait for the green light at each). Turn right onto Tennison. At the base of the hill, turn left into Tom's River Yacht Club. US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point NY: From Northern Blvd E, left at a traffic light to Great Neck Rd (Bayview) (Shell on right). In about 3 miles, turn Left at a STOP sign onto Steamboat Rd. Coach: Doug Clark Washington College, Chestertown, MD: From Rt 301, Maryland eastern shore, take 213 north 15 miles.
