FALL 2004 & SPRING 2005.

Severn School placed 3rd in the Mallory National Championships held May 13 - 15 at Port Angeles, Washington. This ties the best finish ever for MidAtlantic District schools! Tom's River South, NJ was 3rd in 2003. Annapolis finished 5th in 2000, Key School, MD was 7th in 2001 and three MASSA schools have finished in 8th place: Broadneck, MD in 1991, Southern Regional, NJ in 2001, and Monsignor Donovan, NJ in 2004..

Congratulations to Severn School and Annapolis High School who qualified to represent us at the Baker team racing National Championships on May 27-29 at Jensen Beach, Florida. Severn School placed 5th overall and Annapolis High School placed 6th.

At the Cressy Single-Handed National Championships, hosted October 16-17, 2004, by the Wayzata Yacht Club in Minnesota, Kyle Rogachenko, of Methacton High, finished 2nd in Radial Rig, and Eric Horrocks, of Point Pleasant Boro High, finished 3rd in Full Rig.

Norfolk Collegiate School won the overall fall 2004/spring 2005 School Year District Championships. Severn School was second and Annapolis High School was third.

Severn School won the overall Spring 2005 District Championships. Norfolk Collegiate School was second, and Archbishop Spalding High, and St. Anthonys High were tied for third.

The final results from the fall season are posted (click here). The Fall Season Championship Winners are: 1st Norfolk Collegiate, VA; 2nd Annapolis High, MD; and 3rd Severn School, MD.

The MASSA The single-handed qualifying regatta to see who would represent us in the Cressy National Championships was held September 11th at the Brant Beach Yacht Club, hosted by Southern Regional. The following laser sailors qualified to represent MASSA at the Cressy National Championships to be held October 16th and 17th in Minnesota. Full Rig: 1st Place - Royce Weber - Southern Regional HS, NJ, 2nd Place - Eric Horrocks - Point Pleasant HS, NJ, and 3rd Place T. J. Tullo - St. Ann's School, NY. - Unfortunately, T.J. could not attend but 4th Place Tod Reynolds, Summitt HS, NJ, was able to attend instead.
